- Ladies Mixed Terrain Trip to Moots -

 by Stephanie Snaman

When we set out for our SV:Travel trip to visit Moots in Steamboat Springs, CO we couldn’t have imagined just how incredible the experience would be. Going into the trip, 75% of our group had little to no experience riding gravel specific bikes and we were on our way to ride mixed terrain in the mecca of gravel riding, Routt County.

Since 1981, Routt County has been home to Moots, a remarkable company focused on hand crafting high-performance titanium bikes. With 35-years of experience building bikes and 25-years focused solely on titanium, the Moots team produces arguably the best titanium bikes in the world. Each team member is focused on their area of expertise with a strict sense of quality and pride in their contribution to each bike. When you receive your new bike, it will come with a yellow tag that notes each Moots employee that was part of your bike's build.

Studio Velo and District Bicycles were invited by Moots to be part of the VIP Gravel Camp preceding their annual Moots Ranch Rally. We were welcomed by a crew of Moots employees with an impressive line-up of titanium rigs ready to roll. Each day, the Moots team guided us through the endless Routt County roads. We were only in Steamboat for 5 days, but in that short period of time we did our best to soak in the best eats, local brews and breathtaking vistas.
